THE WHITBURRY WEDDING
It has been a hot couple of weeks in San Diego, so I thought I would dream of somewhere cooler...like Park City, Utah. Granted it's probably hot in Park City too, but this blog post takes me back to Brad and Whit's wedding day in December. They could not have asked for a more perfect day or venue to enjoy it! The wedding and reception were held in the Lodge at Park City Mountain, at the base of the ski resort. The lodge had huge floor-to-ceiling windows with a view of the mountains, and we were able to watch it snow throughout the party, which was quite a treat for us Californians.
I was honored with the opportunity to create all of the signage and additional items needed for Brad and Whit's big day. Whit wanted a consistent look carried through the event, from her wedding logo and save the dates, invitations, and rehersal dinner invites to all of the pieces for the actual day.
I helped Whit with over twenty pieces of signage, including everything from directional signage on foamcore boards, to framed signs labeling stations on the buffet. I created the typography for each of the table names, which Whit printed on canvas and displayed on each of the tables. There were programs for the actual wedding, and even a chart placed in window panes for the seating arrangement. Overall, we tried to carry the chevron pattern, and the dark blue theme across all of the pieces. It was a lovely evening, and I feel so blessed to have been able to provide all of the materials Whit needed to make her day spectacular.
Additionally, I wanted to credit Britt Chudleigh for some of the amazing photography I have borrowed from the event.
