The heart of The Noble Paperie
The Noble Paperie is a San Diego-based stationery + lifestyle brand, passionate about creating beautiful paper goods for important life events. Our Noble Greetings and other paper products are created by a Mama, for Mamas, and we promise that each piece you receive has been loved from concept to completion.
We believe in making people feel good — because we all deserve admiration and praise. We believe in celebrating every season of life: the joyous moments, and the struggles we battle through, because both of those seasons shape us into who we are meant to be. We have a true passion for designing unique paper goods and it would bring us great joy knowing that The Noble Paperie is a part of you and your loved one's lives.
Our company was founded on the following verse:
Paper products made with love by a Mama, for Mamas.
Our mission is to spread joy and hope to those with a mama’s heart: who are struggling through miscarriage, infertility, and other pregnancy-related issues. We believe that becoming a mother starts when you prepare your heart to have children—not the actual manifestation of a child. Our paper products are designed with love and care to support, advocate for, and inspire a community to live with joy through the journey.
Our Noble Greetings
Miscarriage effects 1 in 4 pregnancies.
It's a staggering statistic so many of us are unaware of. The time has come: to talk about miscarriage and loss, and not let mothers suffer the loss of a child alone. Our first products in our Noble Greeting line were designed specifically for the Miscarried Mom, and aim to surround those experiencing loss or frustration during their journey to baby, with love and support. A note from Kate
Hi there! I’m so glad you’re here.
If you made it down this far, I’ll tell you a little bit about me and a few of my favorite things: I’m a 30-something mama from San Diego, California. I'm a total paper nerd and the Post Office’s number one fan (not a joke). I believe in pancakes on Sunday, baseball in summer, and trying to find the best cheeseburger in all the land. Team Hufflepuff all the way, baby. I’m married to my college sweetheart, and he’s been my rock through all of our ups and downs. I also deeply believe that Amy Poehler and I would be best friends (sorry, Tina) …so somebody please give her my phone number, and tell her to call me.
I graduated with a BFA in graphic design and printmaking from Notre Dame de Namur University, and started designing invitations for friends and family right out of college. In 2011, I accepted a position at a San Diego-based pharmaceutical advertising agency and worked tirelessly to become an award-winning art director.
In 2015, we lost our first baby to miscarriage, which was completely and utterly devastating. We kept that secret close to our hearts for a long time, and buried it deep within our marriage. Our next pregnancy with our rainbow baby was extremely high-risk—it landed me more than 40 days of in-hospital bedrest, our son being delivered prematurely via emergency C-section at 32 weeks, and a month-and-a-half long NICU stay, before we were able to bring our little miracle home. Needless to say after all of that, my priorities naturally changed. The journey to baby blessed us with the greatest gift: the birth of our gorgeous son; but it also made me acutely aware of the challenges many women face when trying to start a family.
These transformational experiences gave me a passion for supporting other mamas during their own journey to baby. Thus, our line of Noble Greetings were born. Our first 6 cards were designed specifically with the Miscarried Mom in mind, but have since evolved to include those struggling with stillbirths, infant-loss, infertility, and other pregnancy-related issues. I see you and I hear you Mamas, and know first-hand that this journey ain’t easy.
It has made my heart soar to see our first batch of cards supporting Mamas walking the same path I walked myself. I had the most incredible support from husband during that time, but I will admit I often felt alone. Loss can be so isolating. My prayer is that these Noble Greetings can spread hope and joy to women during their journey to motherhood, and let them know that if we stand together – we are not alone. I give you the sincerest thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for allowing The Noble Paperie to be part of your lives. I truly hope our Noble Greetings, and this brand, can impart some joy to you along your journey.
With hope, love, and baby dust,
